"Fashion is what you buy, Style is what you do with it.."
Winter is around the corner and it's time to update your wardrobe to match the season so if you don't know what to get or curious to find out what may be trending this coming season don't worry, I got you covered!!
If you live in the Northern Hemisphere bookmark this post so you can return back to it during fall
I'm always eager to see what has been trending on the runways during fashion week as a source of inspiration or a guideline when updating my winter wardrobe
I have compiled a list of some of the spotted trends which I think the retailers and consumers may take to for this season.
The looks are from some of the top shows that took place in the major fashion capitals around the world.
I will follow up with a separate post to the men's fashion week as I
feel the brothers deserve some love as well so guy if you're reading
this stay tuned :-)
This post is not about me telling you what you "must" have but just a guide line of what is likely to be available (in this case already available) in stores and or what the masses are likely respond to.
Remember you do not have to be a victim by following every trend there is out there, find what appeals to your taste and make it work for you.

8.VELVET
This appears to be huge trend this winter as the majority of designers were sporting a velvet piece in their collection.
Apart form velvet blazers which are a timeless classic, this fabric can be a bit tricky to pull off especially if you're "big boned" like me lol
For everyday life I'd say play it safe & stick to deep shades like black, navy, green, maroon(red) and opt for stretchy velvet fabric when it comes to items like tight pants, pencil skirts or bod-ycon dresses.
But if want to make a statement then go big and go for the bright colours like mustard as seen below, gold or even pink.
Mix it up with different textures like denim to give it a twist...
I'm looking forward to see how the streets will style this trend
